Dr. Andrew Jacono
At New York Hair Restoration, we offer the latest in technology, combined with the experience of our surgical director, Dr. Andrew Jacono. Our philosophy is to restore a full head of hair with the least invasive methods to create a natural-looking hairline that is undetectable as surgery.
Years of Experience matters
Dr. Jacono has been performing hair transplantation surgeries for the last 14 years and is a member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgeons (ISHRS). He has undergone rigorous training in the latest methods of follicular unit hair transplant (FUT) during an advanced one-year fellowship program with the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons.
Dr. Jacono regularly performs follicular unit extraction hair transplant (FUE). FUE is the least invasive hair transplant technique, which involves harvesting hair follicles one by one. This method does not create a long incision or leave a visible linear scar at the back of the head.
Top hair transplant surgeon: Background and education
Dr. Jacono is dual board-certified in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Head and Neck Surgery. He has been listed as one of the best facial plastic and hair transplantation surgeons in New York by US News and World Report, and in Castle Connolly’s Guide to America’s Top Doctors.
Your hair restoration procedure will be performed under the care and guidance of one of New York’s most acclaimed facial plastic surgeons and hair restoration specialists.
Philanthropist: An advocate for children around the globe
Dr. Jacono is a firm believer in giving back. He regularly travels to third world countries to perform reconstructive surgery on children who are born with congenital disabilities, including cleft lip and palate and microtia (a condition in which children are born without ears) or children with burn injuries or trauma. He has traveled to South America, Central America, and Southeast Asia on over 12 missions where he has operated on over 500 children.
Dr. Jacono has been recognized for his work and is the recipient of the Community Service Award from the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, given to one surgeon each year. He is currently the surgical team leader for Healing the Children Northeast.
